Santhana Naidu serves as the 2019-20 District Governor for Rotary International’s District 6580.  In his role Naidu serves as liaison between Rotary International, based in Evanston, IL, and the 32 clubs of Rotary’s Southern Indiana District. He succeeds Sue Wright of Clarksville.

Naidu joined the Rotary Club of Terre Haute in 2004 and served as the club’s President in 2011-12 and later as the Assistant District Governor. He has also served the District’s Rotary Youth Exchange chair from 2010-18.   

In 2014 he was awarded Rotary’s “Five Avenues of Service Award” for service to his club, his community, international causes, youth and to society, in general, through his vocation as a marketing professional. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, honoring him for significant support to the wide-ranging work of The Rotary Foundation.

Naidu is the Associate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Indiana State University where he leads an interdisciplinary marketing organization that manages the university's brand and produces regional, national, and international campaigns. He also directs the university's marketing vision and strategy, and supervises organizational units including creative services, web and new media, advertising, photo and video services, licensing and university magazine.

He is the seventh Rotary district governor from Terre Haute.  Previous District Governors: Paul Stanley, 2011-12; Dale McKee, 1989-90; Edgar Pettibone, 1984-85; James Rentschler, 1977-78; Frank Lightfoot, 1972-73; and Wayne Schomer, 1965-66. 

Santhana and his wife, Amy, have a son, Cameron.
